Can't Get Enough: Quarantine Self Care Edition

I don’t know about you, but I have tried to make self care a priority during this unique time. I am going that extra mile for myself, but without being able to visit my trusted gurus I have had to get resourceful! I thought I would share a few of my favorites that have been in constant rotation these past few weeks. Also, Sephora’s spring sale is happening so sharing felt like a must!

Ok, I admit it...I’m a total skincare addict.

And the backbone of my skincare routine are my aesthician, Shani Darden’s, products. From her cleansing serum, to toner, her unbeatable retinol, and lightweight moisturizer, these are the tentpoles of my regimen.

Shani’s retinol, in particular, is a hero product of mine. I personally love the Texture Reform. It’s potent enough to get the job done but also never irritates my sensitive skin. Depending on my needs based on travel, weather, and hormonal changes, Shani will implement other products into my routine. But it all is built on the foundation she has created with her cult favorite line.

Another one of my favorites (and Shani Darden approved) is iS Clinical Hydra-Cool Serum. It’s nourishing but sinks right into the skin. Makes for an easy burst of hydration for my skin that doesn’t fight with my other products.

I am also VERY dedicated to treating my skin with vitamins and antioxidents. So when Kristina Holey shared some of her products with me I became an instant addict. The Marie Veronique Vitamins C+E+Ferulic Serum

And Kristina’s Soothing B3 Serum are two of my can’t get enough products in my daytime routine.

I’m not sure if it’s stress or the changing weather, but lately I have had to add a little extra hydration to my routine. The Intense Hydrating Mask from Colleen Rothschild seems to be all I’m reaching for. I often will just leave it on for hours and maybe even sleep in it when I feel I need a boost.

Whatever flawless make-up artist, Jessica Payne, tells me to buy I will race to add to my cart. I love when she comes over for a glam session and whips out her new favorite products. She is the queen of the smoky eye and glowy skin. And her tutorials are giving me life during this quarantine.

She recently posted about this Marc Jacobs concealer stick and I scooped it up. I haven’t been piling on the makeup during this time at home, but when I need a little pick me up, I just add a little to the areas that need some extra coverage and it blends in with my tinted sunscreen. It’s also great to stash in your purse for on-the-go touch-up’s post quarantine!

Im also in love with my new Chrissy Tiegen/Becca blush and bronzer combo. It’s currently out of stock.

So I am linking another superstar from Natasha Denona!

I know we all have a little more time on our hands, but who doesn’t love an amazing multi-tasker. This serum/tint/sunscreen by Ilia is a new staple. It gives you that glowy finish with all the protection and serum-y goodness I crave. Make sure you check out their shade guide. Since hours of in-store sampling isn’t an option, it’s good to know you can rely on their recommendations.

I generally like a fresh faced ‘no make-up’ look in everyday life and one of my secret weapons are the RMS Eye Polishes. The pigments are rich and beautiful and one quick swipe gives you just enough of a pop to keep it natural. The color is buildable and I smudge on my lower lash line when I want a little extra.

I have been a fan of Olive and June products for quite some time, but mastering the art of the at home mani has never been more important! Olive and June guides you through treating yourself to a salon worthy mani that makes quarantine #nailproblems a thing of the past!

Okay, I don’t know about you, but even though I’m living that sweat pant life I’m desperate for a glow! So self tanning has been happening on the regular.

Of course, before we started slathering the bod with that vacay in a bottle we have got to prep! I keep this dry brush right next to my bath and shower and make it a point to work my way up my body with it at least once a day. Dry brushing is incredible for your lymphatic system and you can really feel your body coming alive. It’s also the perfect first step to days I’m going to apply self tanner.

Also on those days, I pop on my exfoliating gloves and go to town to make sure my skin is smooth and prepped.

If I don’t have time for a full body glow, I use a quick splash of tan water on my face and décolleté to feel like I look like I have a little pep in my step and this extra time at home has given me a chance to really perfect my at home tan skills.

I will go into this with more detail on another post, but my hands down new favorite is from Undressed Tans. It truly gives the deepest and most salon worthy tan I have ever been able to achieve at home!

Clearly, self care is a love language for me and I’m always on the hunt for new products and treatments. But these are in heavy rotation right now. What is on your radar and are you paring down your beauty routines during this extra time at home or trying new things???

Xx,

Jo
