Elderberry Fizz Mocktail

Photography by Sara Magnolia

Let’s be honest; this mamma likes her happy hour! So as a fun activity to do with the girls we decided to plan one for all of us to enjoy. I made them this delicious Elderberry Fizz Mocktail inspired by Eating Well, poured them into my mom’s vintage crystal coups, and we had ourselves a party!

Not only did the girls love feeling like ‘big girls’ and sipping out of these fancy glasses, but they also got to take in the health benefits of elderberry, which is packed with antioxidants and vitamins that help boost your immune system.

Now, you can of course make this one adult-friendly by adding a spirit to it if you want to. But I love the non-alcoholic version and the fact that the kiddos enjoyed it so much!

Ingredients:

· 2 ounces freshly squeezed orange juice (we used blood oranges)

· 1 ounce elderberry syrup

· ½ ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice

·  Ice

· Sparkling water

·Orange slice for garnish

Instructions:

1. Combine orange juice, elderberry syrup, and lemon juice in a cocktail shaker. Add ice to make the shaker 3/4 full. Cover and shake until chilled, then strain into a fun glass filled with ice.

2. Top with sparkling water and garnish with an orange slice.

If you make this, please share it with us at The Happy Place on Instagram! We would love to see it.

Enjoy!

 Xx Jo
