Cake Mix Apple Cobbler

This recipe has me feeling like the Fall season is fully upon us- even though it still feels like Summer where we live. I love easy recipes that I know the girls and Nick will love, especially when they only require a few ingredients and steps! This Cake Mix Apple Cobbler is a serious trend right now and I totally understand why. It’s Autumn heaven in a bowl and I can’t wait for you guys to try it!

Ingredients:

  • 1 stick butter {but into 6-8 cubes}

  • 1 box vanilla cake mix {divided}

  • 1 1/2 cups milk

  • 4-5 small Granny Smith Apples

  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar

  • 2 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 350°. Place cubes of butter into the bottom of a 9x13 baking dish and place in the oven until melted (don’t forget about it!). Remove once melted and set aside.

2. Core, peel and thinly slice apples. Place in a large bowl and add 1/4 cup of dry cake mix, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Mix until well coated.

3. In another large bowl, whisk together the remaining dry cake mix and the milk.

4. Pour batter into baking dish and over melted butter.

5. Pour apple mixture over the batter {making sure to distribute them evenly}.

6. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until golden brown. Serve your cake mix apple cobbler warm or store at room temperature for up to 4 days.

Enjoy!

Xx,

Jo
