4th of July Trifle

This 4th of July trifle is one of my favorite dishes to bring to yearly gatherings! It couldn’t be easier (or more fun) to make.

This is one of my “measure with your heart” recipes other than the cream cheese mixture, of course!

Ingredients:

Angel Food Cake or Cake of Choice

Berries of Choice

16oz of Cream Cheese

1 1/4 Cups of Powdered Sugar

1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract

2 Cups of Heavy Whipping Cream

Intructions:

Start by making your cream cheese mixture. Mix the cream cheese (softened), powdered sugar, vanilla, and heavy whipping cream until smooth. Give it a taste for good measure!

Cut your cake into small/medium sized pieces. Then you’ll begin layering your trifle.

Start with a layer of cake, your first berry layer- I started with blueberries but this is completely up to you- and a layer of the cream cheese mixture. Continue until you reach the top of your bowl and garnish with more berries!
