  • 1 pint of fresh strawberries

  • 1 cup Tequila (Blanco)

  • 3 oz. Cointreau

  • 2 limes juiced (about 2 ounces)

  • 1-2 tbsps. honey

  • 1-2 cups of ice

  • Kosher Salt or (my favorite) Sparkling Sugar

Place the strawberries, tequila, Cointreau, lime juice, and honey into a blender. I used my Vitamix, but the Nutribullet works great too! Blend thoroughly on high until the strawberries are pulverized and all ingredients are smooth! Serve over ice in your salted or sugared glasses and enjoy!

Added twist! BASIL!

I adore the combination of basil and strawberries. If you are up for a little bit of that flavor, you can easily chop (finely) some basil and add it to a cocktail shaker. Give it a little muddle to release the oils and lovely flavors. Add half of your margarita mixture, give it a little shake, and voila!

THP Tip: If you decide to go with the added twist of basil, I like to use a small cocktail strainer as I pour into my glasses! Nothing worse than little bits of basil in our teeth to worry about!
