Aperol Spritz with Rosemary Simple Syrup

Photography by Sara Magnolia

Generally, when you think of Aperol Spritz, you think summer. But if you’re like me, I still crave the fresh, zippy taste all year long. Adding a beautiful Rosemary Simple Syrup gives this classic Italian drink a lovely depth that feels seasonal without compromising this refreshing cocktail!

This recipe for my Rosemary Simple Syrup has become a staple in my home – I always have a jar tucked away! I just love the combination of rosemary and grapefruit; they are the perfect match for the sweetness of the simple syrup.

This recipe starts with the traditional Aperol, prosecco, club soda combo. Then add a cup of rosemary simple syrup to the pitcher, garnish and enjoy!

Tip: I like to make it in a chilled pitcher, refrigerate, and only add ice when I’m ready to serve!

Ingredients:

1 bottle Aperol

1 bottle Prosecco

3 cups club soda

1 cup rosemary simple syrup

6 wheels orange, for garnish

2 sprigs fresh rosemary, for garnish

Combine in a pitcher and add ice when you are ready to serve!

Xx,

Jo
